davidmccracken 2 Posted December 26, 2006 Interesting idea Mark. The 'slope' is a touch distracting. Link to comment
jan_piller 0 Posted December 26, 2006 Great idea - but I wished you had used red shoes with "stiletto" heels - same as the shoes in the B & W . Great idea though! Link to comment
markboyer 0 Posted December 26, 2006 Thanks for the comments. Everything about this shot was pure serendipity.David. The slope was a result of the angle of the shot. But you're right; it was distracting. I have used some PS magic to repair it as best I could. I should have done so on the originally posted version. I am getting sloppy in my advancing years.Jan. You're right; stiletto heels would have been better. But this shot is exactly as I saw it; I did not think of it or set it up. Diana left two pairs of shoes on the bannister in front of the Mapplethorpe photo hanging on the wall. The shoes were red and positioned exactly as you see them here. The set-up was a gift I was lucky enough to find. Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted December 27, 2006 This worked out very well, Mark. I like the contrast of the red shoes and b&w picture. Now that you have the idea, you can always reshoot at some future time with stilettos if you are so inclined. Link to comment

paula grenside 0 Posted December 28, 2006 Ah, shoes, you can't imagine the fascination they have for women, or maybe you know well considering this fine shot. I like the contrast in colors, in heels. My best wishes for a Happy New Year, Mark. Link to comment
cherlyn 1 Posted December 29, 2006 Original composition & viewpoint. The red looks great & eye-catching against the monotone. I like it. I also wish you Happy New Year & all the Best in 2007 & the years ahead. Link to comment
