A very warm photo in nearly every sense of the word. The composition is well done, as is the setting for the photo.

 

I would like to have seen the model's right hand and fingers in a more relaxed state - something kept drawing me back to that hand as a I paroused the photo. The fingers seem too "fixed" in position.

 

That said, the expression on the model's face is both non-threatening, and happily lacking animation. It makes you look at her eyes, from which stories could be told.

 

Well done, overall, truly.

Beautiful model but she looks bored and the setting utterly contrived - as a portrait it says more about the photographer than the model.

Le charme discret de la bourgoisie. I like this a lot and I am not sure why. The balance, the tilted lamp shade, the ambience. The model's expression. This seems to be portrait with meaning. I see this and I think Truffaut, Bunuel...quiet cinematographic really.
