aepelbacher 0 Posted December 24, 2006 I decided to share another Christmas-sy photo, this time a little bit more abstract. I loved the colors in the lights on the trees outside of the National Botanical Gardens (next to the Capitol building). I used a long exposure and had fun. Thanks to Roger Keagle for telling me about how to do this using the "bulb" setting on my camera. Merry Christmas to all!! Link to comment

whenkat 0 Posted December 25, 2006 Welcome to the world of abstract photography, Lou Ann. Well done. One suggestion, although others may disagree, is to do away with the color of the light on the top left which is causing a little distraction. Link to comment
ruudalbers 1 Posted December 25, 2006 Many thanks for your best wishes, Lou Ann! A Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you, too! Best regards, Ruud. Link to comment
davidroossien 0 Posted December 25, 2006 Very nice. I think all the elements work together. You could even experiment with different crops to place emphasis on certain groupings of 6's. Link to comment
joanbn 0 Posted December 26, 2006 Very nice abstract showing Christmas colors. Thank you for the Christmas greeting and your many comments on my photos. I always enjoy hearing from you. I have a photo from the bridge at Bemus Point you might like to check out. Happy New Year.... Link to comment
colin carron 58,916 Posted December 31, 2006 Cool! looks as though you were having a bit of fun here! Bulb setting can also be used with the camera on a tripod to get car lights on a road, fireworks, star trails etc. Link to comment
