Dieter Schaefer 20,103 Posted December 19, 2006 Lovely light, good composition, great use of longer shutter speed. Horizon appears a little bit tilted to the left. Link to comment
jim young 0 Posted December 19, 2006 This looks brilliant Marc. It has a somewhat futuristic look to it with the colours you have captured here. Well done. Link to comment
nicolewhitephotography 0 Posted December 19, 2006 What a gorgeous way you have captured light and movement nic :-) Link to comment
zathras1 0 Posted December 19, 2006 Fantastic composition and colors. Did you try with even slower shutter speeds? Link to comment
yttergaarden. 0 Posted December 19, 2006 Outstanding work as always. Merry christmas and a great new year to you. Link to comment
papasan 0 Posted December 20, 2006 Brillant. Great light and colors. Nice explosive movement in the waves. Excellent capture Link to comment

ricklundh 0 Posted December 20, 2006 OMG dude...thith ithz thimply FABULOUS! I think I actually like it a little better than your big Art Wolfe winning image. The rock spires are wonderful...the clouds and lighting are everything I would want in a seascape image...the wave action is spot on perfect. I have to give this an 8 out of 7...then subtract about 5 points because I am so jealous of this image ;-) As hard as I try to find something wrong with this...I just cant...and you know me. anish 0 Posted December 20, 2006 is that a bird sitting on the rock spire in the center? i don't know if you planned it, but it's a perfect touch. the color of the clouds reflected in the waves is beautiful. Anish Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted December 21, 2006 You are the best man. Your photos are amazing. I learnt a lot from you and I still do. What a sky. Amazing...:)) Keep on. The world is better with people like you. Greetings! Link to comment
doug bowles 0 Posted December 22, 2006 Marc, your prowess continues to humble me. Fantastic photograph, great use of existing lighting (although I'd expect nothing else from you), and the gull sitting on the rock gives a touch of incongruity that makes the image even more interesting. richard van hoesel 0 Posted January 2, 2007 Marc, you've certainly captured the drama of being close to the water's edge very nicley in this one. If I were to suggest anything, it might be to try pushing some of the the blues in the sky and water to contrast with the warm tones that dominate the land masses. Cheers. Link to comment
marcadamus 1 Posted January 2, 2007 Good idea Richard. I like it. Going more for a Velvia look. Link to comment
seanscapes 0 Posted January 6, 2007 This shot is just incredible like all your work. I love the lighting and the composition. You really showed the incredible force of the ocean close up. The spot that your standing at looks like you can easily get hit by a wave. Just out of curiosity what was the aperture and shutter speed? Link to comment
marcadamus 1 Posted January 9, 2007 F/14 and 1/4 second. And yes, I had to move very quickly to dodge a few big ones! Link to comment
