Regina - great to see a couple of new shots from you!! AND ... I love your new bio pic! You look FABULOUS!!

This is so cool ... the bird (what IS that bird?) and its reflection are so striking against the monochromatic background! Nice work!!

This is a wonderful scene -- I really like all of the elements. I'd be tempted to crop a bit off the bottom (above the stick in the lower right, but below the first lily pads), and then a bit on the left to help preserve proportions. These crops would also make the egret a bit more prominent. Very nice shot.

A real feast for the eyes Gina - so much to look at and so well composed - something of interest wherever I look - knailed it technicially too - run this one down to the drugstore - and tell the kid behind the counter you want some big-assed prints - sol ...

What camera and lens did you use and was the window rolled up or down? (-;

Thanks for great in put everyone.

This little pond is just a few miles outside of Raleigh. There is an actual working mill there that they have turned into an historic landmark/park. There is a boardwalk over the pond so you can hike all the way around it now. This shot was taken on a dark rainy morning so it looks very deep and lush and I was stationed halfway across the bridge. This is in fact an egret and it posed so nicely for me. I used my new D30 and a great new lens my husband got me just after we got back from Maine. LOVE the image stablization feature! So worth it in these lower light conditions.

Thanks for the comments. They mean so much.

But you didn't put the camera or the lens in your tech details!! What's the lens? I'm very interested in the stabilizing thing on my next lens (whatever that may be) because my hands are getting shakier and shakier by the day!

First thought when I saw this: It might be Paradise. Unbelievable beautiful and peaceful.

I hope you are doing well Regina. You are a rare visitor, but absolutely not forgotten. You are missed.

I wish for you that 2007 will be a good and healthy year.

PS .. you look so great and in harmony with yourself on your bio pict. ....
