I have the feeling that an attempt was made here to make a picture look like a painting by making it dark. And it didn't work for me. In this case when brightening the image, the whites come in as overexposed. Its just too dark, lacking in contrast and the colors are flat.

Beautiful capture of the moment! I like the composition, the light, the colours. Where was this theatre performance? It looks like somewhere in the Balkans...

I have been looking at this image for 5 minutes now and I'm still not sure if it's a painting or an actual photo. I congratulate you for that!
