rege02 0 Posted December 17, 2006 I really like this technique... Would you mind telling me how you achieved this look? Link to comment
fotinos 0 Posted December 17, 2006 "This image rocks" I would say, if there were some flaws missing: The flag cuts the horizon in two parts, one lighter, the other darker and the lighting in the sea below is a bit unnatural ( I asked myself where it came from). Again the sea appearing among the poles is unnaturaly lightened. Overall good sharp detail and nice combination of warm and cool colors. Good angle. Wothwhile to re-process! Link to comment
fiona madden 0 Posted December 17, 2006 Hey Yinka! I think you've over done it on this shot! It looks to fake! I like the other one you posted though! Link to comment
ionaorbinski 0 Posted December 18, 2006 Hi, I really like this picture, but like it has been said before, it looks a bit unnatural, with the lighter parts around the tower. It seems to me like you took two photos with different exposures and made them into one. You know, copy and paste... If you would Photoshop it a bit more and make it darker on the sides of the tower so you don't see the blend, it will look a lot better already. I would also make the foreground a little bit darker, it seems too light now. But I really like the composition and the colors in the sky are just amazing! Well done! Link to comment
yinkamd 0 Posted December 18, 2006 Thanks to everyone for their very kind and constructive critiques of this photo. A few things about it: it is an HDR photo. I used 3 exposures (0, +2, -2). The default saturation levels on my HDR software are relatively high. Apart from the HDR, I did essentially no manipulation. It was a totally stunning scene in real life. Thanks again, and please see my portfolio Thanks Yinka Link to comment
michellecarter 0 Posted December 18, 2006 Wow! What an amazing image! I love the ocean, beach, sunsets, and this seems to capture them all! Stunning technique. I wish I was there when it happened. Link to comment
