This is extremely powerful. In the smaller version I wondered what the lines were, and when I actaully saw what it was I was moved. The colors are wonderful and the shadow of the marine makes him almost one of his fallen comrades. This photo could be featured on Time magazine.

Jim - Well done! I need not comment on the message this conveys, we both have some understanding of that. Excellent execution.

Wonderfully emotive image. I just wandered through the 'wall' section of your portfolio and found them to be very respectful and profound. It may be the setting, or the warm colors, or use of the reflected surface to capture the moment; all share an aesthetic view of how you see the wall. Thank you for having the vision to see it, and the willingness to share it with us.

When I visited on a cold winters day, all I could see were blacks and grays and the icy horror of death. Thank you for being there at sunrise and being able to capture the golds and reds and browns, and a reflected ghost or two.

Just got back from shooting DC. The wall brings out emotions in all generations of people. Not like this though. This brings out a deeper understanding of the loss and the bond between those who served. Truly fine photography. -Anthony
