Interesting - it resembles in approach your architectural photos. I assume you post-processed the image to reduce the background clutter and focus on the hat - I'm a bit on the fence on this, I'm not sure it's entirely working. But perhaps the original image was too busy?

Hi Beepy, not really, the background was already blurry because of the aperture, but I use ps to take away the color (which I do find distracting) and used a ps style to change this to look like a painting. I chose that style because the effect reminds me of a Chinese ink painting.

Very, very interesting job. Background is so unique and works beautifully with the foreground. The only thing I would do different is "finishing/ending" the right part with a little texture, but take that just as my personal impression. This is only your picture and I really love it as is.

Hi Samir, I'm so glad you like it. I think you're one of a very few :) I will remember your suggestion if I've a chance to take a similar picture. Thanks a lot!!

Now I understand. Just checked the ratings. I can only tell you that I've seen many great photos rated low. That is a shame. For me, it's only important when I get a written comment. For a bad rating I would like to know the reason. If it is not there, than I try to not pay so much attention.

Samir, I don't mind the bad ratings. They're just a way of life in PN. But I do know not many people like this kind of ps treated image. I like it, and a few of you like it, so that's good enough to keep it :) Thanks again!!
