thescriptkiddie 0 Posted December 18, 2006 Interesting to have been able to get swans at this time of year, and even more so to have captured them with ducks in such a beautiful setting. The lightin was just right, highlighting just a hint of pink on the swans, yet diminishing the after effect of having large shadows that would prevent the visibility of the feet/snow and duck/snow contrasting colors. Great shot, and excellant subject! Link to comment
davidorea 1 Posted December 19, 2006 Excellent capture, Jeff. Tender scene with very good colors, light and shapes. Perfect title for this nice composition. Best regards! Link to comment

rebeccaciborowski 0 Posted October 1, 2007 There's some great framing here. Snow backgrounds can be REALLY difficult to photograph well. You have to adjust for the extra light etc. Getting those white swans to be so clear is awesome. Plus, I love the black abyss to the left - the way the snow melts into it like frosting or something. Neat photo. Link to comment
mg 0 Posted October 21, 2008 I agree with Rebecca. This picture has a truly awesome composition, and you kept details everywhere. My suggestion: darken the snow just a little so we can feel more texture in it, and go for black and white - or if you don't, then at least just do some color correction on the magenta area at right. This is a really nice photo: take care of fine-tuning it, it deserves it ! Cheers. Link to comment
