lonebearimages 0 Posted December 13, 2006 Boy, Clayton, this is an excellent image. I like this perspective even better than the earlier version you posted a week or so ago. It certainly is different. What wonderful light you've captured. I like the pile of junk too, somehow it seems to fit, and balances the presence of the boat. Great shot! Cheers! Chris Link to comment
cookfair 0 Posted December 13, 2006 Beuatiful shot - the contract between the gold and the blue is amazing - alos love the junk and the pile in the front. Link to comment

ryourth 0 Posted December 13, 2006 Hi Clayton- Beautiful natural colours. Including the pile of rubbish & junk really complements the old sheds. Nice image.I can make out the tires & steering wheel on the junked item on the bottom left, but what is it? -Ross Link to comment
yasser_ghazvini 0 Posted December 13, 2006 good .light is good but the composition is not.the shot is a little crowd and the elements are scattered. the house and ruins are in bad place and the boat is in bad angle.i like the previous work. it was very much better.exc me.i see your page every day. clayton_berg 0 Posted December 13, 2006 Hi Ross, the thing you see on the left is a boat. It is more prominent in 'For Sale' which can also be viewed in my portfolio. Yasser, thanks for your honest opinion and continued interest. Everyone else, thanks for viewing and commenting. I'm glad you've enjoyed this image. Link to comment
tomlohrman 0 Posted December 14, 2006 Clayton, Great picture! I have to ask you, what scanner do you use? It does a very good job. I use a Canoscan 8600f and I seem to lose detail from my original slides and negs, the Canoscan tends to be inconsistant from one picture to another. Thanks, Tom Link to comment
clayton_berg 0 Posted December 14, 2006 Tom, I get my negs and slides scanned at a local lab. I think they have the top of the line Nikon coolscan. The scans look good at this size but frankly they could be doing a much better job, especially for what I'm paying and the equipment they are using. Alas, it is either use them or buy your own scanner. And if I had the money for a Nikon coolscan I'd much rather spend it on a D80. I want to upgrade to a D50 before long. They'll soon be bargin basement cheap at clearence prices and I've told everyone that I want gift certificates at the local camera shop. Hopefully by the new year I'll be using the D50. It only makes sense considering I do so much post work on photoshop. Thank you for you continued interest sir. Link to comment
tomlohrman 0 Posted December 14, 2006 I hear you on that one, Clayton. I'm going with the Sony A100, for it is compatable with my Minolta AF lenses. Link to comment
