dberryhill 3 Posted December 13, 2006 This is beautiful, Mike! Simple, balanced composition, with marvelous light. I love that touch of color in the window. The picture does have a lonely, abandoned feel. This is one I would never tire of. Link to comment
Mike Marcotte 49,778 Posted December 13, 2006 Thanks you guys. I removed some power lines, but that's all the manipulation I did. It looks like I foolrd around with the contrast, but this is pretty much how the slide looks on the light box. Link to comment
janiebarber 0 Posted December 13, 2006 This is a great shot!! The tree looks as if it was almost put there just for the purpose to make this composition. What a good eye you have. Link to comment
Mike Marcotte 49,778 Posted December 13, 2006 Thanks Janie, I just got a new monitor the other day & I don't have the colors just right yet. Still fumbling around. Is there a little too much magenta in this? Looks like it from here. Link to comment
janiebarber 0 Posted December 13, 2006 to me there might be a small bit too much but it still looks good. You know, Mike, we are always more critical of ourselves and our work than others. Oh, however, I did forget about those in the 3/3 and 3/4 categories, lol. Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted February 4, 2007 I love this image. It is just a wonderful scene. I do believe that there is a bit much magenta forming kind of a half moon bubble rising over the house. I may very well be wrong however, since I too am working on a new monitor that has given me fits in seeing colors and shades of black. Link to comment
ronald_capasso 0 Posted January 23, 2008 This is a powerful statement... I just love the old dying tree and the wooden hoouse together. Only God can make a tree and look what man turns it into. Nice. Seeya round campus, Ron Link to comment
