I used to think signs were an inconvenience, and that they spoiled the scenery but then I started thinking about signs, and what they mean, and why it seemed that the shots I wanted to take had signs in them. Signs keep us safe, they warn us of danger, give us an idea of what to expect ahead. Without the signs in life, most of us would be lost, confused, or possibly hurt because we didn't have something to tell us to stop at a four way stop, or to tell us that there was a dangerous curve ahead. I used to photoshop out the signs, now I leave them in, and hope that when others see my work that it makes them mention the sign in the shot, so that they have to think about the signs, think about what they mean to us in our lives.

Yeah, Jennifer, I hear you...and this one starts out, "For Your Safety..." God Bless the National Park Service, they've got to look for all of us 'knuckleheads.' I like signs about as much as I like powerlines, I use electricity, but they sure can spoil a good landscape. Keep up the great work! Cheers! Chris
