this is gorgeous. i cannot quite explain why i say this, only that it has wonderful balance in light and shade and curved and straight lines. It seemed more like an architectural photograph, rather than that of a street. It could probably stand on its own merits without the pedestrian carrying the umbrella/bag in the background. the eye is drawn to the curves and lines easily.

the high key break in the middle is what makes this photo work for me. it creates zones that help the eye travel into frame. perfect position of person walking into the light at the end. wonderful work Alessandro. regards, J.K.

I like the person walking away, it gives the image nice depth and interest, a little humanity to what could be an 'empty' architectural shot. I savor the texture and lines created by the stone work and arches, but the person adds that extra element that makes me want to explore the whole scene. The figure draws me into the frame. Nicely seen.
