Did someone get to see the Nutcracker? I like this a lot, Lesa. Very dynamic, and very well exposed. Too bad you couldn't have gotten all of her left arm, cutting her tutu doesn't bother me. Nice and sharp too. Great shot! Cheers! Chris

Thanks Chris!! Yes, someone did go to The Nutcracker! I actually had a friend that was performing in it, and I got clearance to photograph from the "wings" backstage. All of the images in the folder are from backstage, which I am very thankful to have had the opportunity. I intentionally cropped the edge of her arm, in order to "break the rules", and also give an off balance perspective to the image. As if the dancers were exiting the image. Crazy right? That's what happens when your editing after a glass of wine. :))) Regards...LJ

very interesting composition, but i find in stage photography the colour image takes away some of the theatrical feel in the picture. (personal).
