harry eggens 0 Posted December 10, 2006 Excellent exposure and I love the diagonal line of the Polar bears body. Where did you take this shot. Spitsbergen? kindest regards, Harry Link to comment
gilles_p 0 Posted December 10, 2006 Good picture, but this poor thing looks way too thin. Link to comment
tsypkin 230 Posted December 11, 2006 Great Photo! I wonder how close did you have to get to the bear?! Link to comment
marianna_safronova 0 Posted December 12, 2006 Thank you all for the comments! Harry, this is a composite image, the bear is from Washington, D.C. zoo and the snow is Mt. Baker glacier. The bear came very close and walked past me posing so it was too perfect picture to waste (obviously too Zoo otherwise). I liked the diagonal line of the glacier photo. By the way, it is a bone under his paw, I kept it from the original. I would like to say that your photos of the bears, both wild and captive are remakable and very inspiring. Mikhail, about 3 meters :) Best regards, Marianna Link to comment
tsypkin 230 Posted December 13, 2006 Marianna, I think I know this bear from the National Zoo :) I am glad that there was a barrier between you and him :) I think I don't need to ask if youhad to risk your life for the absolutely beautiful photo of the tiger... Best regards, M. Ts. Link to comment
marianna_safronova 0 Posted December 13, 2006 Mikhail, Then you might know the tiger as well. She has cubs now and I was photographing the cubs when I suddenly realized that she was staring at me with this amazing look! Best regards, Marianna Link to comment
margaret1 0 Posted May 25, 2009 Wonderful image. Sad that it is in the zoo, but probably the best for all. Wouldn't it be fantastic to see this in the wild? Well captured. The whites are great in this. Link to comment
