riccardo_mottola 0 Posted December 10, 2006 the weather condition makes it a difficult b/w shot, in my opinion. Still you managed to get a good tonal range, the rocks came out well and the trees are intresting. The framing and view itself is pretty standard, but it is typical in landscapes. Link to comment

lonebearimages 0 Posted December 10, 2006 Your capture of the range of tones and contrasts make this an interesting image to look at. I like the misty feel of the mountain in the background. Well done, Aaron. Cheers! Chris Link to comment

AaronFalkenberg 0 Posted December 11, 2006 Thanks everyone for stopping by, and giving this one some attention. Riccardo, I completely agree with you. I'll add, that in the full size image, I can actually pick out individual pine trees on the mountain side. Crazy! I don't think I will ever tire of the detail in 4x5. Cheers,Aaron Link to comment
Jack McRitchie 150 Posted December 11, 2006 Undeniably a beautiful picture with excellent tones and balance. Conversely this set balance places it squarely in the ranks of the romantic and as good as it is, I prefer some of your more compositionally challenging pictures. Link to comment
alberto.conde 0 Posted December 12, 2006 A wonderful B&W with Anseladamesque quality. Best congratulations on such splendid work. It proves that I should get myself a MF the sooner the better.I am adding my statement of admiration in form opf rating least of all to compensate for that absolute ignoramus that has decorated it with a double 3... Oh my! I'm fed up with this site thanks to them! Link to comment
AaronFalkenberg 0 Posted December 12, 2006 Thanks Alberto. I learned a long time ago not to put too much weight on ratings. As long as it's an honest rate, I won't complain either way. Link to comment
alberto.conde 0 Posted December 13, 2006 You are right, Aaron. on ratings. And sorry for not discerning that it's, actually, a LF! Link to comment

sketch_tbhotmail.com 11 Posted May 26, 2009 Man, I could put all your black and white work in my favorites folder. The tonal range and contrast are amazing. I'd love to see something like this as a huge print. Link to comment
AaronFalkenberg 0 Posted May 26, 2009 Thanks! If you were a bit closer, I'd say c'mon over. I just happen to have a 16x20" framed print ready for a show later in the year. Cheers, Aaron Link to comment
