ldavidson 4 Posted December 6, 2006 Taken on a dark, gloomy spring day. Creek is running into the Little Shushap Lake in British Columbia, Canada. Link to comment
2239727 0 Posted December 6, 2006 Hi Linda I like the lead in but find the hot burnt out highlights in the sky hard to live with. One small point on file size if you view the shot larger it's to big cut the image size down to 1024 pixels wide and the viewer will get a large image that fits the monitor hope this helps. Nice framing. Link to comment
kvj 0 Posted December 6, 2006 Hello Linda. This certainly grabbed my attention. Very strong and moody image. The large image has some unnatural grain - perhaps jpeg artifacts due to processing? Otherwise, I really like it. This is the kind of art I would hang on my wall. Best regards, kvj. Link to comment
ldavidson 4 Posted December 6, 2006 Danny, Thanks for taking the time to comment. I appreciate it. I think you are right about the burnt out sky. I tend to over do it. Glad you like it. Cheers, Linda Link to comment

snapshooter 0 Posted January 4, 2007 I really like this, Linda.I tried altering the hot sky areas, too, but it lost it's stark appeal, for me. I'm enjoying your galleries, and particularly liked the train, rolling through the Rockies. A touch more foreground, maybe, but very little. Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 280 Posted May 24, 2007 Good that grain was mentioned and I decided to go to the adventure called "open larger size"! It is not grain, they call it noise, but here it doesn't harm anything! The final conclusion is all correct! Or should I've said "THE VERDICT! It seemed to me over darkened, over contrasted, over dramatized...but, maybe there is something dramatic in that creek! Seen larger size is much better and clearer! The framing here is most suitable, to the picture and to the PN impossible background! There are sites where you can pick the color on which the picture would be! If you could pick black in this case I wouldn't spend so much time in estimations and evaluations! Cheers to that! PDE Link to comment
