Living by the sea

Had a chance to get to know the villigers in Bintan Island in

Indonesia. Here the kids use a plywood board as a make-shift sliding

door to their hut. Lovely playful kids and very nice natural scenery

here. The waters are also very clear.

Indonesian kids looked like native

Filipino kids too.

 

Their dwellings are also similar to that of the

remote area in the Philippine Islands.

I dont like simple snapshots "out of the third world". I like artistic works telling about that what we are not accustomed to. Like this.

I LOVE the shorts on that kid! :-) They look very happy. I wonder if a simpler life makes one happier? Hmmm.....

The joy of the children just radiates from the photo to the viewer. Also the colours and totally different light than here in northern hemisphere, makes this a great image for me.
