Lovely, peaceful shot Dave. It spells relaxation and a big sigh of tranquility. I love the different levels of hills. Could they have been lightened up just a bit...the first ridge, in the foreground, is hard for me to see; that might just be my monitor adjustment. I'm jealous of the frame,,,the way it blends into the top of the picture,,,nice effect!

Hello Dave, it looks like the start of a long and cold night.

I like the layering of the ridges, very nice.

Gary I really didn't want to open up for detail. For me, I wanted the ridges going very dark and then slightly lighter with the subsequent ridges. I keep telling Missi that we don't live in a photo rich area, this is a mile from our house.

Peter Thanks, I was hoping for a little more fog in the low areas (that happened after the sun was a little higher in the sky)

Thinh Since there wasn't more fog, I almost drove away. I was worried that without more fog, the ridge lines wouldn't be visible.

Warm Regards, Dave

Great photo Dave. This is one I would hang in my living room. In fact I have one similar where the artist has used very intense color ( native art) .

Congratulations on this one. 7/7

Thanks Andrea! How's your computer doing? Did you buy another?

The "little" mountaines you see just left of the viewers center are what's called "The Sisters". Three mountaines, 2 to the left of the more visible one, in the 10k range. They are 90 miles from where I'm taking this picture so visibility was superb.

Hi Dave. When I first viewed and commented on this I was using my laptop. On my desk top monitor I can see the contrast much clearer. No, I wouldn't lighten it up more either...great job.

Thanks Kim, Cyrus and Gary ~ We just had a brutal wind storm come rushing through the northwest so I'm a little behind. We have so many fir limbs down, I'll be cleaning up for months.

Warm Regards, Dave
