on cropping and exposure?

I like the crop and exposure. Nice Photo. It really made me stop and take a closer look. Good work.

I agree...this shot made me stop and take a closer look. If you can try another crop to include just a little bit more of the fence on the right, it might "herd" the viewer's attention down the road a little more. You could also try lightening/dodging the roadbed a little bit more, see if that changes it. I always struggle with overly light sky areas but this is a fantastic shot. Cheers.

So I took Kurt's suggestions. Try this. It's a pretty quick and dirty dodge/burn job, but I think gives the idea. But yes, it made me stop and look as well. Cheers.

Steve Henry: your dodge/burn produces an ominous feeling that yells, "DON'T GO THAT WAY!" :) The original feels a little bit dark/cold "here" where the viewer is standing on the road, but this makes the eye travel forward, so perhaps the original works better? Joseph, just trying give you ideas. Cheers.
