arash khoshghadam 0 Posted November 30, 2006 I like the way the steps lead the eyes toward the man. The man's sitting beside the huge stone columns also provides a nice scale element that emphasizes how big they are. the frist problem is with the composition. Having placed the man in the center of the frame, you have diminished its importance technically. Second is the pigeon. It'd be virtually impossible for me to spot the pigeon had it not bee for your title. if the pigeon is center of the interest then the frame must be cropped to leave out so many vertical lines to get simplified and provide path toward the pigeon which is also too near the right edge making it very hard for the eyes to keep the distance between the bird and the edge. hh253 0 Posted November 30, 2006 I think you are right with your considerations and more cropping on the left side improves the composition and creates more attention to the title of the photo. Normally all my photos are nearly not cropped and they are as I see them. Link to comment
street photography karina 0 Posted November 30, 2006 A beautiful pic in wonderful gray tones. I agree with Arash comment. And if you don't crop than his advice certainly is something to take into account next time you have a similar situation ;) Link to comment
