sirthx12 0 Posted November 30, 2006 GORGEOUS!!! Love it! I have a few jet pics and one plane pic in my port but I don't think they compare by any stretch. Link to comment
shacknav 0 Posted November 30, 2006 A sad, but very evocative image, can almost hear the splutter as the engine starts to turn over for the last time. Many memories from pics like this - thanks. Pat. Link to comment
crtslex 0 Posted December 1, 2006 Wow! This is nice. Great "Curb Appeal" -- it's a real grabber. She definitely needs to be cleaned up and flown, though. Link to comment
dangoldman 0 Posted December 2, 2006 I dont know that i can add anything other than i like how no details were lost. The sun shines right on the fusalodge (i cant spell...), which shows the best the sad state of the plane and draws your eye to the center of the frame. The other think that i like is that the horizontal stab. does not melt into the wing, you can still see where it ends etc. Also, did you rotate the prop for this pic? (thinking of that thread back on fencecheck). Yet another awesome shot August. Link to comment
aeaster 0 Posted December 2, 2006 She looks like she sat in the weeds on the back lot of some Central American grass strip for a few years. But a beautiful portrait of the old lady nonetheless. Link to comment
k5083 1 Posted December 4, 2006 Thanks for all the nice comments, guys. You really caught the emotion I was trying to convey here, although my feeling was not so sad, more of a wistful longing for flight. For those of you who like happy endings, this photo was taken some years ago and the aircraft was actually in the midst of restoration. The above pic is the same machine a few years later -- she got to feel air under her wings again! Now she is retired to static display but in great shape and ready to fly again if someone wants to take her up. Link to comment
dangoldman 0 Posted December 4, 2006 sweet, im glad to know that now. It always bothers me how these masterpeices of aviation go to waste so often, but restoring them to flying condition is simply awesome. However, i wish somebody would buy it so that it would continue to fly... Cant have everything though. Link to comment
weezul 0 Posted December 14, 2006 a beauty plus a very optimistic story... I always liked this version of Corsair - with the "bubble" canopy. Sunlight is absolutely tremendous here!!! Link to comment
vito.mcmillan 0 Posted January 28, 2007 This is an awesome shot...i haven't seen a shot like this before... Thanks for the previous comment Link to comment

dgv 1 Posted June 1, 2007 I chose this picture from your small, yet excellent portofolio to comment on and the reason is that this wreck photographed in this fantastic light has two iterpretations. One, is that if the light is early morning light and it looks as though it is, she would be restored again to her former glory. This denotes the idea of hope. Two, is that if she was shot in evening light then it is like saying goodbye. The light is the sound of the last post. Personally I prefer the first interpretation. Link to comment
leeuwtje 0 Posted July 5, 2008 Love the mood of this image! The sun glowing on this machine makes it superb. I''m not a big aviation expert, but this may hang on my wall anyday! Link to comment
