jessica_smith9 0 Posted November 28, 2006 I rated this low, not because the photo is flawed, but I find the subject slightly repelling. Which is good in a way (that your photo envoked a reaction), but with asthetics in mind, it doesn't do it for me. I also don't find why this is humorous. Maybe I'm too uptight. haha. Link to comment
jessica_smith9 0 Posted November 28, 2006 No problem! I think it's great in the sense that it caused a reaction. Not many in the rating pool can do that so you have my compliments. Link to comment
billysyk 0 Posted November 28, 2006 ...for it's originality, and the face expression ! hehe thanks! Link to comment
aroundomaha 0 Posted December 1, 2006 Yes, the subject is both humorous *and* repelling! That's the cool part of this image and you should be proud to capture it. Its funny what we humans will cram into our faces and the ways in which we do it. I think there is a dual dimension about this shot which to me makes made me rate it high in originality. It was nicely exposed and composed, so the technical aspect is also there. Link to comment
dan laurentiu 0 Posted December 1, 2006 Thanks David! I think technique is something you learn in time but originality is something that comes from inside. At the same time it is hard to walk by such a subject and not take a photo. Dan Laurentiu Link to comment
jessica_smith9 0 Posted December 1, 2006 Hey, I changed my vote (so sorry for the 2 earlier) to 4/6. I realized it wasn't fair to bring down your ratings because the photo is technically fine and the composition is well done. Also, the second one repells me too! I'm baffled, it's just a guy eating.
