Guest Guest Posted November 27, 2006 Selective lighting is the work of the beautiful clouds that you have captured here. Beautiful light painting! Regards Catalin Link to comment
alight 0 Posted November 27, 2006 Hello David, I like the photo very much from behind the fence to the horizon. The shape of the landscape, the big boulders, the light, even the sky, are very nice. From the fence (including) to the lens of your camera I find it "boring". The piece of road and the fence don't do anything positive for the photo, in my opinion. It would be nice to have the sky a little bit darker, so the shape of the clouds would stand out more. I'd give this photo 5.5 out of 7 points. Cheers, Micheal Link to comment
richard hans 0 Posted November 27, 2006 David, such a beautiful mood by a nice widely view, rich color tones, great layers & details, and splendid composition, another excellent capture!!! Best regards. Link to comment
davidorea 0 Posted November 28, 2006 Thanks Mehmet, Catalin, Micheal, Ali, Richard and Amal for your kind comments. Micheal, I agree totally with you about enhancing the clouds with a little more darkness. And about the fence and road ... here is another version. Hope you like it. Regards! Link to comment
lonebearimages 0 Posted November 28, 2006 David, I like both versions. I think Michael's comments are pertinent, as do you, I believe. I love the cropped version you attached. As Catalin pointed out, this image has a real painterly feel to it. Great shot. 6/6 for me. Best regards, Chris Link to comment
alberto_quintal 1 Posted November 28, 2006 David, me gusta esos colores del pasto y del horizonte y con las piedras creo que esta completo el paisaje, muy buena composicion. Saludos. Alberto Link to comment
alexandra rauh 0 Posted November 28, 2006 David very satisfying landscape,i like the road with the fence in the beginnig,it keeps you there before you explore and than the excitement takes over, the rocks facing another hill and all the warm sunlight in between.Yes ,a painting again. alight 0 Posted November 28, 2006 Dave, I had a look at your other version. I think it has a different character. The framing is really nice, and there is nice detail. You lose even more the sky there, however, and you lose a little bit of the landscape context. The colours are slightly different and there is more haze (sniff, sniff). The transition between the brighter light patches and the darker shaded areas is even more apparent. So I think it has good points, though I'd prefer to see the above wide-angle version, with you standing just behind the fence, so it would be out of the frame :-) Cheers, Micheal Link to comment

j.k._york 0 Posted November 29, 2006 i like how the light paints the photo. nice muted colors, nothing over saturated. fence works well as the hand of man across the open space to tie it to the tiny house in the distance. this is well done. good work David. regards, J.K. Link to comment
josemiguelnieto1 0 Posted November 29, 2006 Muy David. Link to comment

henrimanguy 0 Posted December 5, 2006 It seems to me that there was a better composition to do if you had pass over the barrier and put the rocks in the foreground. Link to comment
