Thanks for the comments. I love getting constructive criticism and advice on ways to improve, but am always a little hesitant about posting my favorite shots. I do like experimenting with different approaches of DOF, and what I liked most about this shot, was that it was taken with a 105mm lens, in low light, without a tripod, as close to the bell as I could get. The bell itself was smaller than the size of a dime, so I was shocked when the picture came out so clear.

I like the composition, design and the uncluttered black background. I am always hesitant about 'constructive comments" but here goes: on my screen, the white highlight in the upper right portion seems as though it has lost detail and I would prefer to have some detail there. The white highlights on the inside edge add value to the photo - you might say that it gives an edge. I have read the circumstances under which the photo was taken so Congrats on taking a good photo.

so simple and yet so effective, the diagonal made up of the nice clear black background here works very well and the play with DOF is also nice. please more shots like this :) wish u all the best,
