kentb2 0 Posted November 27, 2006 Why does there always seem to be a chair left. In all the abandoned places you see, it's always a chair? Beautiful light David Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted November 27, 2006 This house is likely not to be inhabited again, even though it is completely unique (see photo). The only things left were this chair and mattress, and the treadmill in another photo. It was relatively clean for an abandoned house. Link to comment
kentb2 0 Posted November 27, 2006 What a strange but neat looking home. I wonder why it was abandoned? Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted November 27, 2006 Right behind the trees is the Monterey Peninsula Golf and Country Club. I think they own the land, and the fact that it is a usable and enviable place to live is of little concern to them. I do hope to find a bit of history on the house, because I am a curious sort. Over the two garage-like doors is an iscription, that may provide a clue or two. Link to comment

alberta_pizzolato 21 Posted March 15, 2008 What a find, David! I love the muted tones in this B&W and especially the partial circle of light and reflected branches in the upper right corner. Well seen. Many years ago I purchased an abandoned house in New York. It took quite a while, but I did discover the history of the original owner and it was a sad tale involving mental illness. Some stories are better with imaginary endings, I think. Good eye! Link to comment
