Reflections of a Hawk

This little Red Shouldered Hawk had fallen from a nest. I cared for

him, over the weekend, till I could locate an Avian Research

facility.

He was in much better shape when I took him back to the nest area,

and was flying with his parents, in less than two weeks.

So glad to hear he's doing okay!! this is a fine capture too, although you may have lost a little of the focus in getting so close. I think we sometimes take too much advantage of a once in a lifetime opportunity for a good closeup! I certainly would have! But well done Doug!

What a wonderful shot and story. On my portfolio, I have a photo of a great horned owl which did not make it. Congrats on both the shot and the save of a great bird.
