Nice shot and focus on the bird Joe, love the colors in these. I tried this concept last week, they got the seed but I didn't get any shots! Then it rained on my basket...:( I now really appreciate your patience and attention to detail getting these shots!

Love the lighting & the way the bird is posing for the camera :) However, I'd crop a little different if this was mine. Just a little too centered for my pea brain :)

 

Did you super glue the bird's feet? :) Hope you don't mind, easier to show than tell, as usual.

to give a little prospective on getting this series of images. 123 exposures, edited down to fifteen keepers, edited down to eleven finalist. about foutheight hours behind the camera. (not all in one sitting)here are the things i had to contend with;the wind blowing the background down, the rain,the light,the dog running in and out of the house scareing the birds, the cat trying to catch the birds, the phone ringing,and the battery for the camera going dead.

Now that is dedication :)I can't imagine working with a "live" bird! I'm impressed!

These guys can be really hard to photograph. They constantly flutter and move. So, be that as it may, my compliments on a fine shot. I like the whole series but I think this one is the nicest shot. You should check out Eppo Smit. He's probably one of the the best bird photographers on PN.-Marty
