Sondra, Very nice! The one thing that I think would help the composition is to crop the very left section of the photo to include the tree trunk only. That section of the photo is dead space and draws the eye away from the old barn.

love the colors, great old barn, could see an entire series of different

angles of this place done. I sure hope you got some close up shots of those

awesome leaves too :)

i do like the crop shown here in the critique area the best

also i would of liked to see a bit more forground in this shot

to give it a bit more DOF

over all... a good job!

I like this as posted as the suggested crop removes the intimacy of the tree wrapping around the shed. I like the perspective from above also making the composition warm and inviting, elements are working well here.

Very nice photo. I like the photo as you posted as the space to the left of the tree trunk hints at open spaces surrounding this barn. The colors are gorgeous. And I like the drop shadow. Everything looks great and ready to hang on the wall!

I sure love old buildings, and you have done a great job of capturing not only a season, but a fantastic old barn as well.. Great colors, and I like the comp of the original frame.. Great job.. Cheers Cole

Hi, Sondra,

I have a few minutes to make the rounds today, so am visiting.

This is a great shot, and I like your version with the space to the left. Great color and framing. I'm thinking this would look pretty nice in a light sepia, as well.

Best Regards,

Barry

I think the image works very well just as you posted it. . I think the tree branches and the grass in the front invite you into exploring the image in further depth. . nice work!

Smashing shot, Sondra! Beautiful light and colour and shooting through the foliage gives a nice atmosphere of something hidden.
