ken_thalheimer 3,739 Posted December 24, 2006 Excellent. Beautifully saturated without being overdone. Great DOF throughout & very good detail kept in the shadows as well Link to comment
saha 0 Posted December 25, 2006 Great piece Kaushik. Unfortunately the cottage itself is overshadowed by the beauty that is all around. Happy New Year! Link to comment
arnabbanerjee 0 Posted December 25, 2006 Wish you a very happy new year. This photo is wonderful - I like the effect you have been able to bring to the sky. I would have loved tp see more of the cottage - but what place our Himalayas is - it never stops to amaze me Link to comment
willy.marthinussen 0 Posted December 25, 2006 Great shot..at the edge of beeing too much contrast but just enough..great control over the saturation here and most of all a great composition and a lovely scene..like it much and happy new year from Norway --willy-- Link to comment
joanbn 0 Posted December 25, 2006 Beautiful, sharp colors....The mountains are beautiful with the snow.... Thanks for visiting and leaving a comment on "my favorite son-in-law" Link to comment
snapshooter 0 Posted December 26, 2006 A very striking scene, and well exposed. For me, the cottage is too prominent, the foreground too heavy, minimizing the magnitude of the mountain range,as beautiful and massive, as it is. This was my initial impression, and before I read any comments, so, it's obvious, I'm a minority of one. I have no idea what terrain obstacles you encountered, but a camera position further back, to the right, and possibly a little higher, might have encompassed the cottage, but appearing smaller, and shown more of the grassy valley, giving some separation, between cottage and mountain range. chad_goldman 0 Posted December 30, 2006 almost too perfect. (The sky gives me a sense of the unreal, if that makes any sense) looks great, brings a feeling of 'wish I was there.' cg Link to comment
