I suppose one could quickly say this is an almost out-of-focus soft shot...but No, you obviously know your equipment and use it tremendously well...(yes, I did go and look at your other amazing shots on display here).

Wonderful Stuff! I've just started trying to get my (shiny new 'real') camera to do what I think I want it to do ...I have a hellluva lot to learn.

Thank You for the inspiration.!

A beautiful addition to the series, David. At a first glance, this looked busy to me, but obviously one should view this larger. I like the backlighting on the colorful leaves. Patterned together with the darker background they are reminiscent of a sunlit painted glass mosaic window to the autumn nature. I guess I should be going digital when I see how you can handle these difficult light situations. Regards... Peter

This must be a double-conversion from a single RAW or exposure bracketing, stunning the hues` quality in shadow. Light and color are extremely beautiful, and the fabulous organic forms and textures are a joy to discover. A symphony of harvest colors. No nitpicks from me

Thanks for your comments folks. This image was processed in HDR using Photomatix. I am very pleased with the results and it printing up nicely as well. Mike you are right about the softness here. I ended up having to redo the image there was a slight blur using three different images which I was able to eliminate. Peter, the dynamic range possible with digital is getting more and more interesting jump in friend...

David, an extraordinary visual effect and a beautiful outcome aesthetically too. (Not always the case with some HDR images I have seen!) In this case the technology has been your servant and you have created an atmosphere of warmth and magic assisted by your bold composition. I'm taking notes....
