jeanboulay 0 Posted November 23, 2006 Hi Glenn, This is a great image. The mood and lighting are great. The composition is awesome. Care to share just what manipulation was done? Thanks Jean Boulay Link to comment
equi_nut 0 Posted November 23, 2006 I think this alittle busy above the wall. but somehow it seems to help set the location, great feel with the light. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted November 28, 2006 Glenn - I like all of your HDR shots, you use the enhanced detail these give with great effect but this is my favourite. The pose is good and though it is obviously HDR the effects are used subtly and add to the "lazy Sunday morning" feel to the image. I am just a little distracted by the bright line, bottom right. glenn norris 0 Posted November 28, 2006 Thank you Neil... I am glad you were able to stop in to look at some of my HDR shots. Sorry bout that line on the right - that is the edge of the table I set my camera on when I snuck around to get this shot. I should have cloned it out by now... Link to comment
alexander mandl 0 Posted December 17, 2006 How many shots have you taken there? I have to use this technique inside too. It looks great. Congratulations for your inspiring work...alex Link to comment
glenn norris 0 Posted December 17, 2006 Thanks Alex. Believe it or not, this was just two shots here - he moved his hand for the third exposure and my G6 is pretty slow in these situations! Glad you like the interiors - Glenn Link to comment
tomaso nigris 0 Posted January 9, 2007 Glenn. Bravo, bravo, bravo. I like all your HDR photos. Link to comment
aluf 0 Posted March 16, 2007 How did you make him sit still for the 3 shots :-)? How many shots do you usually take for your HDRs? This one is nice. You do not often see HDRs with people. Link to comment
glenn norris 0 Posted March 16, 2007 Thanks for all your comments! When I started using HDR, I was really fascinated with using people in the shots. Most of the time the people look like ghosts... I have a lot of success shooting still people who are part of the scene but not closeup as you would for a portrait (like in "The Cobbler's Shop." Believe me, I have tried almost every combination of shots, single shot hdr's, extreme lighting situations; almost everything. With this shot it was really just luck... I saw the morning light, snuck up behind the man, took the three exposures and left. Later, I saw that he had moved too much for the third shot and only ended up using the first two. It is all just fun and experimentation. Thank you again Jo! Glenn Link to comment
