Another poignant and aesthetically pleasing photo. The colors of the grass, the church and the sky are great. Is that the cemetery to the left? At this resolution, I couldn't tell. Only one point I would make for your consideration is the possibility of moving just a tad to the left with your view and taking out the telephone pole on that right side. It's not critical, but it did occur to me as I viewed. Beautiful picture.

I appreciate your comments very much. Thank you. My friend and PNetter Mike Marcotte would aptly call this a calendar picture. We've sworn off those, but I couldn't resist this one. Dave, I worked a long time trying to figure out a good crop. Too centered. Too much foreground. Etc., etc. And now you go and tell me I've got it wrong!:) Cut me a little slack here, will ya?

You haven't got it wrong at all. Only you can judge where the crop should be. You could also PS the pole out, but I thought the movement left would also place the church a little more off center, which would not be a bad thing. As I said, it is a fine pic, and definitely is calendar material.

The cemetery is on that side. I just can't decide if those are the tops of the markers that show in the picture. You've got a very observant eye.

A very pleasing image with loads of drama, I would have cropped out some of the hot spots in the sky as they detract the eye away from the beautiful church. As David said the church to the left would balance the highlights in the sky with the white church. I cropped your shot to better explain myself. Regards Clive

I like your crop, and it is probably an improvement. But, for me, that seems to cramp the church. I guess I think that a church should have lots of room looking upward. You are absolutely right about the hotspots pulling the eye from the church.
