occhicone 0 Posted December 1, 2006 Kostas - I like this photo very much - when you look at people's portfolios, there is a photo that jumps out. 2 thoughts come to my mind. 1) i would have like to have been the one who had taken this 2) if I could give you advice on a direction to go, this would be it. it is really well done Link to comment

kurt2006 0 Posted December 6, 2006 Ti kanis, Kostas?! This photo is slightly better than your three-eye "self". I look at this photo and laugh but get angry because it makes me work too much! Your b/w images are very interesting to study. I am going to learn what they mean. Sin haritiria, megale. Link to comment
Kostas Angelopoulos 0 Posted December 6, 2006 Now i'm doing fine Kurt. Cause i'm not making such annoying images for my friends any more :)) And i'll try to make it up a bit by saying that Saube Lawrence is the brand of this old b&w TV. Geia sou Kurt merakli! Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted February 21, 2007 This is the kind of thing I am trying to do. Capture real people doing rather mundane things in a very natural way and make it work. You have done that here. I probably would have reversed things and had the young man (unshaved works well here) in the more prominent position. That may have been a mistake, though, as this makes a pretty powerful statement, in a subtle way. Great job. Link to comment
Kostas Angelopoulos 0 Posted February 21, 2007 I'm twice lucky with this one. Once because it wasn't a set up at all and I got the image on the TV just right with the shutter speed of 1/60 of a second (of course I took four shots but I could still be unlucky as the requiered speed is 1/15 at least, as you probebly know to catch the whole screen without the barrier). Twice, because I'm honoured to recieve such a comment coming from you. I feel is not enough at all to say that you make my day :-) PS: Nevertheless the shaved one takes the lady :) The funny thing is that I couldn't control of course what exactly I was capturing on the screen or in general as well. It's like the philosophical question...it comes afterwards... Link to comment
