Mining Shaft - IR

I like this just the way it is, but what do I know...

To my eye, this great image looks dark, perhaps from resampling to a web size. Looking at the brightest whites, I think you could edit this whole image up a stop or so. It's a great composition, and the sky adds a lot of character.

Sondra, I'm certainly no expert on photos shot in the mountains, but I think I've read about there seems to be darker shadows at higher elevations....If you bump up the brightness even a stop, high values will start to be lost.....I suppose there is some fancy software that you can do most anything with......Hey, this looks fine to me......Jim

Jim, you are right; I tried this and started to loose the details in the clouds, so I left the image alone.

Sondra, I'm thinking one of the things we need to learn is when to quit fiddling with our images, it is so easy to not realize when we have it at it's best........Jim
