jay_patel 0 Posted November 14, 2006 In pursuit of the passion, we decided to spend a late evening in the Coyote Buttes area of the Vermilion Wilderness to catch the last light of the day. We knew that the 3.5 miles hike back to the trail head in dark would be no fun, but the anticipation of catching the clouds and the last light in the wilderness proved irresistible. Needless to say our pursuit of passion was richly rewarded Website: http://www.jaypatelphotography.com A member of The Timecatcher Team. Link to comment

chriss1 2 Posted November 14, 2006 The photo looks very deep and 3d, I like amazing sunset colours (both magenta and blue) that reflect in water. Lines carved in rocks have beautiful colour and perfect sharpness. Link to comment
henrimanguy 0 Posted November 14, 2006 Great work! The Composition is perfect and about the colours, the red/magenta of the sky works very well with the red of the rock. The lines on this one makes like a whirl which drives the eye towards the little lake and the background. Link to comment
asr 0 Posted November 14, 2006 You've really nailed this one, Jay. The swirls work their way around throughout the frame. Amazing lighting to boot. One of your finest! Would you care to mention your settings? ISO, F-stop and shutter? Did you use a hard-edge or a soft-edge? Thanks in advance. Link to comment

cherlyn 1 Posted December 6, 2006 Gorgeous! Your pursuit pays handsomely. The satisfaction of getting this wonderful image of great lighting & colours (not to say composed excellently) is worth the hard hike back. Link to comment
ricklundh 0 Posted December 8, 2006 Jay,I love the foreground swirls and the overall tonalities. Did you pop down lower and grab the sky's reflection in that little pool? Link to comment
jay_patel 0 Posted December 9, 2006 This was the only angle at which I could get Sky Reflection. The clouds were low enough on the horizon that going closer to the pond would have meant loss of reflections. Thanks for the comments. -Jay Link to comment
