The architecture of islam is the ultimate architecture ever made. I spent 6 years as an architect student at UPA 3 in Versailles France and UIC chicago (1 year) and even after being pumped with western heroes like Le corbusier and the other moderns socalled heroes (which I learned to like) the only one that comes close to the mosques of Iran in term of architectural mastery is Antonio Gaudi (Spain), I never stopped believing that the builders and designers of mosques are the ultimate architects. Your pictures show a little bit of it but I am hungry to see a lot more. Have you seen the Alhambra in spain? (I have not, just pictures). It's the black and white but 3D version. If you could share all your pictures of Islamic architecture with us..that would be very generous of you. Thank you for this little taste of it. There is so much more of it...their pattern mastery is truly divine, even in simple things such as floor tiles or metal grating. Like Buddhist mandalas but with no compassion to human mental weakness, in sharp focus with the mystery of the great beyond. There is so much to be learned from it and so little information about it...it makes your pictures rare. I hope you are aware of how precious those pictures are. (I saved all of them).
