Okay, I confess. I thought this looked sort of dull. But I find that I keep coming back to it. So what gives? I think it looks real - real life in a small American town. And it has no glitz at all, nothing to make it into eye candy. I'm coming to accept that I like it.

For me, one of the prime aspects of the art of photography is conveying a mood or emotion. This photograph, I believe, does that very well. There are many small towns like this, that are becoming desolate and feel empty. While my own home town is not quite like this photo, I get the same feeling when I visit as I do when I look at this photo. Very nice work. --mj
