Pepper-sprayed Protester

Tiny depth-of-field due to large aperture and focus at minimum focus distance. I took two photos and in this one the focus is spot-on.
The camera was hand-held. The image is a little bit cropped, but not manipulated. Yeah, I know the highlight is blown, but this is my cheap flatbed scanner's fault.

Taken after a student protest was broken up by riot cops with pepper

spray. After escorting him to safety and getting medical help, I

"remembered" again that I had my camera with me. I took this shot

while more skilled people used water bottles to rinse the victim's eye.

Just a terrific piece of photojournalism, I know how hard it is to get shots like this. Too bad about the weeds but the way the arms and hands and bottles come in from all angles makes this shot work.
