agustin.david 0 Posted November 9, 2006 Nice image. I love the shape of the shadow in the wall. Very natural colour and a great light. Well done Douglas. Congratulations. Best regards. Agustin David_ Link to comment
dougbrill 0 Posted November 9, 2006 Thanks for the comment. I looked at your gallery and your images are stunning. Great work! It seems your photography is more "old school" with little or no manipulation. I highly respect that. Thanks again for your kind words on my images. Douglas Brill Link to comment

dougbrill 0 Posted November 9, 2006 Catalin I am new to photo.net. I post my images here so to learn and improve my photography. I request photo rankings so that my images will get more exposure and that I might get a few comments from which I can learn. Am I happy with the anonymous ratings? No. Even compared with the really great photographers on this site I do not believe that this image is lower than average (3/3). I am happy that some people have taken the time to look at my images and that some good photographers like and yourself let me know what they think. You are a great photographer and obviously very passionate about your work. No ratings or remarks should make you feel any different. If it keeps you passionate about your photographs there is some good in the bad too. Doug Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted January 11, 2007 Hi Douglas, First weicome to PN. As in every site there are good advantages and not so good .... The rating system is far from being ideal... so look better for comments, some of them will have more meaning and teaching modes. This image is well seen, the shadow is funny as the player is thin and the shadow... so there is even a touch of humour. The composition has a small tilt to the left can be easily corrected in PS.the image is small, a bigger one will give better details. Nice work in general, take your time !and thank you for your nice comment. Link to comment

dougbrill 0 Posted January 12, 2007 Well Pnina, I lived in Israel for about 12 years. Kfar Saba to be exact. I am american born but I am also Israeli. As many Israelis, I left for traveling in Asia after the service and stayed in Asia for about 6 years. Then business brought me back to the US. I now reside in the Los Angeles area. What part of Israel are you in? Link to comment
janisok 0 Posted January 15, 2009 I like this shot! Love the title....we need a lot more "Music Making" in this world. It would not be the same shot w/o the shadow, good eye. I do agree that there seems to be a little tilt to the left going on, and would love to see a larger version. Nice shot Douglas! ~j Link to comment
dougbrill 0 Posted January 15, 2009 Thanks Janis, Yes there is a definite tilt. This is a slide that I shot more than 25 years ago. If I try to straighten it I lose the edge of the guitar. I agree - More Music! Link to comment
