Just thought I would share this little spot. If your ever in the Mt Adams, WA area you should spend some time. Very primitive however, trails are not heavily used. Two days and we only saw 1 other couple.

Warm Greetings ~ Dave

It is an interesting view for sure. What trail is this? and where is this located. I noticed the snow at the bottom is little grey..underexposure or just merging with soil?

Enjoyed your portfolio!

Hi Lalit; Good eye! This area was near a trailhead and the dirt in the snow was from the plows. This photo was in the spring of 05 so I'm not sure the trail, I'd have to pull the map out.

Looks like a beautiful day! The two chairs gave it that extra kick. Very nice!

And a lovely view it is! Great capture on the clouds and snow covered mountains, the touch of green on the slopes adds a nice contrast to the dark blues. The chairs add that little extra that keeps this from being "just another mountain shot"(although a nice one), and they draw the eye into the photo and help to tell a story. But I can't imagine hiking in that rough terrain and packing two chairs along! You mention plows and trailhead, maybe this is on the side of the road, it looks like you're on top of a mountain?!

Thanks Arthur and Susan for stopping by.

I have to tell you that one of these chairs is lighter that my tripod so not that bad, we just don't bring the foot extension. We had just finished a hike out in the area that we're viewing and this spot is just slightly down from the trailhead/parking area. The "plows" in this are actually have huge snowblower attachments so the snow is thrown for quite some distance. The banks don't form mountains that way.

Cheers, Dave

I see in the news where the coast is getting hit with LOTS of moisture in the form of rain and snow....been there, done that. I don't miss that area one bit, the winters were too "wet" and gloomy for me and I'm an open country/sagebrush person.

Excellent photograph well composed, the person looks like a loner, would love to see a couple......

I really appreciated your constructive comments on my photographs, if you deleted it because I didn't respond to them, than you are mistaken, time being a biggest constrain for me ,in fact I loved your idea and was looking forward to implement it .Please feel free to criticize ,that gives me a chance to improve .

I have noticed that you shoot with different cameras, would like your advice on them since I plan to buy one, will mail you.
