Sometimes it feels great to load for fun. I love the blue roof top, its shape & shadows cast. The visitors give element of activity to the museum. I like it.

It looks as though you were enjoying yourself... I love what you have done with that wide angle lens. Regards.

I don't feel left out there, having fun right with you.Your aesthetics are always dependable.I like the straight forward view, almost video like, moving people. Full of harmony ,reflections and fun.

Colin, it can be said " nearly" symetrical again... you are a master of a wide angle compositions, they are so convincing ;-)) I like everything here, the light and shadow cast, colors, the people line that brings the context. beautifuly done.

Good perspective, that wide angle comes in handy. Love the colors and shapes. You have been 54 a long time now, haven't you had a birthday yet, or am I the only one getting older.

Thanks everyone!

Paolo, Cherlyn, Richard - thanks for your comments.

Alex - I tried to blur the people but tripods are not allowed so they are more distinct than I wanted.

Pnina, yes, nearly - it is a little bit crooked but I was in a hurry to get it uploaded before I went out so it is not quite as I wanted.

Jana, Manolis, I found the colour of the photos a little too much - cyan and yellow - so I have made them to my taste rather than reality. As a result I have had a bit of a think about colour balance now so I hope if I did it again the colours would be more true to life.

Sondra, very observant! I changed my age a bit early last year (thinking no one would notice!) so I will be 54 for about 15 months. ...and rather than getting older think of it as moving towards a splendid maturity. :-)

Alberto, the light is very bright in the court as the walls are a light cream colour - a beautiful space.

Great to see this one in color, or is it a different one? It's the choice between grafic or lively, is n't it?

Anyhow, great.

Yesterday I had a comment, but today again I had to look at it again. Something bothers me. If intentional I can appriciate the crazy look of a super wide angle.

But in this case it does not add to the image, the opposite. Also the fact that there is so little livelyness in the left corner and the fact that I think it is not really nice balanced overall. I did take the liberty of making some changes, (with your permission). First I gave it a perspective coorection, together with some other tools to avoid that it's overdone. Next I gave it a High Dynamic treatment and finaly I sharpened it a little, little bit. I just had to do this, to start a discussion about it. If you are bothered by it, let me know and we simplu remove it. The reason why? I think it is a good image in the beginning, that's all.

Let me know.

The original gives you the feeling you are right there and the sheer enormity of the place gives a dizzying effect, so the slightly skewed angle works. However, what Hans did seems more balanced. Something to be said for both versions.

Colin, I am glad you posted this image. I like it very much. Hans has done a really nice job but I prefer your version for my taste. Best regards, Baldur

Hans, thanks for your version, I don't mind when people show how they would present one of my pictures. I like your version. It has a lot going for it. It emphasises the round building in the middle while mine tends to emphasise the roof.

Kim, Baldur thanks for your comments. I agree that Hans' version has a lot of merit too. Different takes on the original.

Hi Colin

Super shot here, I love the angle of view and the sense of scale given by the people. I wonder how this would look in black and white.

I love the MATH in this!! :-) The triangles and curves are GREAT ... and I think that the color version of this is interesting. You only ever see people doing B&W images of this ... and this color one is very well done. Isn't math fun!!?? :-)

Colin, I have been looking forward to the sequel to the previous image and I am certainly not disappointed by what you have produced. This is just an amazing image of patterns, both on the ceiling and via the shadows. It's interesting because as we marvel at the architectural and aesthetic wonder of this scene, the individuals traversing the floor appear oblivious to its greatness - maybe a metaphor for many of the wonders that exist in our lives too which we take for granted. In any event, this is an awesome image my friend.

As a wide angle lover I am quite accustomed to the warped super wide perspective, but I must confess I had the same intention as Hans when I first saw this. His version is a bit too correct IMO, the truth lies possibly in-between, for a reasonable wide angle. But after looking for a while, I feel uncertain now. The tilted visitors, pointing towards the center, are possibly more interesting, maybe crazy but a bit extravagance would not be amiss here

The wide angle view of this amazing place is captivating. The play of light shapes from the roof on the white of the central structure keeps me interested. I find myself asking, "How'd they do that?" with regards to the ceiling :) Well captured. I personally like the darkened area on the left, helps define where the sun was. The light makes the shadows slant from left to right on the the white of the building, thus it is natural that the left would be a little darker. Really interesting image!
