joanbn 0 Posted November 6, 2006 Lovely, makes me think of lamp posts that often shown in Christmas photos. Thanks for comment on my photo. I always enjoy hearing from you. Also think Sally has a cute face! Link to comment
waveguide 0 Posted November 6, 2006 I'd like to know how this was shot- time exposure on a tripod? Or did you open up the F-stop and shoot it handheld? I have an S2-IS, and I find the image stabilizer does not help much on low-light shots like this. I really like this one- good perspective and a warm feeling. Link to comment
lesa jones 0 Posted November 6, 2006 Julio...so glad to see you. I am honored by the time you have spent viewing some of my images lately. I am humbled. Joan...my friend, I am always so happy to hear from you. Done anymore PS experimentation lately? Jim....whew..question is almost toooo technical for me!! Here is what I remember about the image. I was sitting in the courtyard of a bar on Bourban St. in New Orleans, having a cocktail of course, and I just thought that the lamp was really pretty and representative of New Orleans. The shot was done hand held, I just braced elbows on the table, and I believe I remember dropping the exposure down, but I don't remember by how much, (side effect of the cocktail I presume). Anyway, thanks so much for the inquiry, and I wish I could answer your specific questions, but I am not as tech. knowledgable as I should be, I just LOVE making pretty images!!! Regards to all....LJ Link to comment
