Well seen composition. The forms work well and the crop is about as good as it can get. You have used the gold tones beautifully.

 

To be honest with you it reminds me of Marcel Duchamp's "Nude Descending a Staircase." That is the first thing I thought of when I opened the file. I must ask, however, where is the nude?

I see this as an already professional background theme of a music catalog. No dead spaces, right use of light & dark...many times I wonder how photographers feel if and when they have reached some kind of perfection as this one...I like it a lot, and these words come from a musician type of photographer ;-)

Owen, Even though I say so myself this is better than any tune that my friend has been able to get out of it! Please don't tell him I said so! I can't remember if I have seen Marcel Duchamp's "Nude Descending a Staircase." I feel I must try to see it. As for the nude, it was her day of rest.

 

Billy, Perhaps not as near perfection as I would like but I am very happy with this. I have another which I may upload later. If it hadn't been for Owen and yourself, I probably wouldn't have thought to do so.

An interesting coincidence. I just saw your comment this morning. It has been a few months since anyone commented on this image. The coincidence being that I managed to photograph another saxophone today.
