Mark, this has good elements in it. I like the way he has tilted his head and the position of the hat is ok. Also the light from the left is pleasant. I guess that you have used the flash to get a little more light to the front... There is something in the shadow of the hat and the reflections on his nose and lips, that distracts me. Also the strong shadow under his chin makes an impression of double chins... :-)) But, in overall, this is a very nice portrait and I am rather shure that the model likes it allready. Happy shootings!
