Mannequin under studio lights. Comments welcome - I'm learning how

to use my lights and welcome advice!

I think I liked her better when she was bald. You did a nice lighting job on her face, though, with one side shadowed. Sharp all around, too.

Yeah, her hair is a bit of a nuisance, flying in her face all the time! :) But she's still a good model - never complains and holds the pose I want.

Kim- How's the lighting lessons going? Fun isn't it? Very addictive.

 

I like the lighting on her face, but the white space in the bottom of the roses area seems too open to me. Maybe if she had a black turtle neck on it would make a better back drop for the rose & baby's breath.

 

Where the heck did you get the mannequin? I need one :)

Ebay! She was under $150 (sans hair). I just got an early Christmas present - another Alien Bee 800, so I'm going to use the 400 as a backlight and play around some more with lighting (and my mannequin). I'd name her, but that would be really, really weird! :)
