Karl Schuler 48 Posted November 4, 2006 The large bridge over the Yarkhun river was destroyed some months ago. The locals just finished constructing a temporary bridge. We were invited to test it. Thanks God the evening rain was gentle. Otherwise the Jeep would have to spend the winter up there... Thanks for your feedback. Karl Link to comment

katzpjs 50 Posted November 4, 2006 It appears that you had much faith in the bridge building abilities of the locals. I would have driven right on across and then said, "Good Job!" once I was safe on the other side. Link to comment

hermann_fink 0 Posted May 12, 2008 Hi Karl, I have been walking april, may1974 from chitral to Miragram II...and didnt had any camera ..so I am thrilled to see some of the places again by your phantastic photos. We had to cross the river 1 km north of that place too...but there wasnt any bridge..no road in that time..so I passed the river with the leggage on the head...my friend couldnt do it...he was a head smaller than me ...so he had to make a climbing up trip along the east side of the river. You made me really hungry to visit this region again.....ciao..hermann Link to comment
