andrewg_ny 3 Posted November 4, 2006 The Sunday evening I captured this felt like the last relaxed day of summer to me. How does it make you feel? Any criticisms or suggestions would be appreciated. Link to comment
shots worth sharing 1 Posted April 23, 2008 Very well executed photo! It's a intensely ordinary scene and yet it conveys a very powerful calm. Link to comment
musings 0 Posted September 10, 2008 This is one of my favorite photos on P.Net (the other being Alisa Steig's "Tuned In"). The effect is superb. The setting sky and pink hues against the dark buildings and amber lights of the Carpet Trends building evoke relaxation and unwinding. Perfect mood! I would recommend cropping out a bit more of the road and see how it looks. The double yellow lines are a bit detracting. The smaller foreground would also help accentuate the sky more, which is beautifully lit. Link to comment
margaret1 0 Posted October 13, 2008 Andrew, I like the whole feel of this including the yellow line. I know where I am, I am on the other side of the street, seeing the artificial glow from the window light and the magnificent glow of the evening sky. Hometown, small town. This is a great image, Link to comment
paolo_pescia 0 Posted August 24, 2010 it is just beautiful, the light makes the feeling there was fresh air, compliment Link to comment
leon_roijen 0 Posted May 18, 2011 I love it, but contrary to others, it has no peaceful effect on me, it looks like stormy weather is ahead. But maybe we have other skies here in The Netherlands;-)The place looks lovely. This picture makes me want to see this place in real life;-) Link to comment
JDMvW 63,916 Posted March 15, 2012 I've been noticing this one for a long time and it 'wears' quite well. Nice image--if no one would notice, I'd put it in my "Homage to Hopper" portfolio, imitation being the sincerest form of 'critiquing'. :) Link to comment
