Thank you for your interest. Here's some Bromo information for you.

Gunung Bromo is an active volcano lying at the centre of the Tegger Massif. The massive crater stretches 10km across and its steep walls plunge down to a vast, flat sea of lava sand. From the crater floor emerges the smoking peak of Bromo (2329m). Further south the whole supernatural moonscape is overseen by Gunung Semeru (3676m), the highest mountain in Java and the most active volcano in these highlands.

Most of these images were taken from a viewpoint called Gunung Penanjakan at 2770m - thankfully, I didn't have to climb this one...I saved my energy for Mount Kinabalu in Borneo instead!!
